What Blur Face does and when to use it

Blur Face lets you hide one manually selected rectangular area without uploading the photo for facial recognition. It can also cover number plates, document fields, screens or other private details when you know exactly where the sensitive area appears.

Best for

Common uses

  • Obscuring one face or private rectangular area
  • Hiding number plates and document details
  • Processing sensitive images without face detection

Under the hood

How the browser processes it

Position and size are stored as percentages so the selection follows the image preview. During export, ResizeImg produces a blurred version in the browser and applies the selected region back onto the otherwise clear output.

Practical checklist

Tips for a better result

  • Extend the box beyond the sensitive feature
  • Use stronger blur for text and number plates
  • Open the downloaded image and verify it before sharing

Know the limits

What this tool cannot promise

The tool does not automatically detect faces and currently applies one rectangular blur area at a time. Blur can obscure appearance but may not be suitable for high-risk redaction where irreversible pixelation or removal is required.
